Taste panels with blind tests confirm again and again: There is no noticeable difference between beer-in-box beer and regular draft beer. In fact, there is evidence that consumers perceive beer-in-box beer quality as more constant with respect to taste and appearance due to its fine carbonation.
Taste panel at the Technical University Munich in Weihenstephan in Oct 2010. In a triangle test with 27 participants, only 5 were able to identify the third sample. In a one to one test between beer-in-box and keg beer no notable difference was attested.
